Reflex timing

TapCult

Charge the ring. Clear what surfaces. Keep your hearts.

TapCult 2.0 rebuilds the game around a single loop. You tap a button to fill the ring around it; when the ring is full the screen goes dark and one short challenge appears — wait for a flash, stop a wheel on a wedge, tap at the real zero of a countdown that lies. Clearing it scores, missing it costs one of three hearts, and the run lasts as long as the hearts do.

How TapCult plays

Charging is its own small skill

The ring fills faster for a steady rhythm than for mashing, so even the part between challenges asks for timing. The last stretch warns you: the screen shakes and the dark closes in from the edges before the challenge lands.

Twenty-one challenges, one rule each

Every challenge states its instruction in a single line and lasts a few seconds. Ten are open from the first run. The other eleven — No Touch, Phase Sync, Countdown Deception, Signal Sort, False Exit and more — open as your best run climbs the ranks.

Streaks pay, misses reset

Only a cleared challenge scores, and clearing them back to back multiplies each one, up to three times. Difficulty rises as the run goes on, so the late clears are both the hardest and the most valuable.

A practice round before it counts

The first time a challenge appears it is an eased version that costs no hearts. Miss it and the full rules come up before another try, so nothing new is ever sprung on you with a heart at stake.
